WINGS AND WHEELS FESTIVAL The RRCC proudly
invites individuals, groups, clubs and organisations to take part
in our very first Wings and Wheels Festival to be held at the Ravensthorpe
Airport. The festival will include a fly in and static display of
aircraft, vintage cars, classic cars, hot rods, bikes, trucks and
tractors. Throughout the day there will be live entertainment, children’s
entertainment and activities, trade stalls, swap meet, food stalls
and an auction. We are looking for interested participants to take
part and display their vehicles, be it motorcycles, vintage cars,
hot rods, tractors, trucks and aircraft of all shapes and sizes.
There will be plenty of room so why not bring the entire club for
an early cruise or road trip. Stalls are available for hire on the
day for $50 which provides a 10m by 10m space for sales and trading
as people see fit. We will also run an auction for vehicles and
major goods, please advise us prior to the day if you wish to include
your items. Any community groups or members wishing to conduct raffles
on the day can register their interest with Sharon or myself. We
are also looking for food and drink stalls to provide refreshments
and any trade or community group stalls would be welcomed. Please
register your interest by the 15th of January 2009 if you wish to
participate in this very exciting event. For further information

Albany Car Classic In 1936, Albany was the first mainland town in Australia to host a "round the houses" car race. The event was highly successful and continued for nearly 30 years. The "Albany Classic" as it is now known, is run annually and has become one of Albanys icon events. The "Albany Classic" is a 2 day event, traditionally held over the June Long Weekend. The event encompasses a hill climb at Mt Clarence on Saturday & the "round-the-houses" re-enactment on sunday. On sunday the streets come alive to the roar of historic motor sport as a wide variety of historic category vehicles compete against the clock in a trial regularity. The weekend is alive with activities, entertainment, stalls and fun for the entire family
